You may have seen from any number of the nonprofits you follow on social media that it’s National Volunteer Week. Volunteers are the backbone of any successful nonprofit and it’s great to have an annual week dedicated to celebrating and thanking volunteers.
Yet an experience I recently had on a family vacation got me thinking — what can nonprofits do better the other 51 weeks of the year to celebrate their volunteers?
